Grants Manager

The Grants Manager is primarily responsible for writing and preparing foundation, government and corporate grant proposals and reports.  The Grants Manager also serves as a project manager in maintaining proposals and report schedules and updating electronic and hard filing systems.  The Grants Manager establishes and maintains positive relationships with present and future funding sources. Previous grant writing experience is mandatory.  Additional responsibilities include preparing written materials to support development efforts (e.g., newsletter articles, direct mail) and managing various administrative duties.

Additional Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree with three to five years of grant writing experience. 
  • Solid experience with federal, corporate and foundation grants.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Exceptional project management and process skills for managing grants, as well as superior focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong research skills to prospect new funding sources.
  • Multitask multiple administrative tasks and oversee vendors.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Capacity to think strategically.
  • Flexible, proactive individual.
