Shooting at Cleveland High School
Like most school shootings, the shooting at SuccessTech Academy in Cleveland on Wednesday probably could have been prevented. In 4 out of 5 school shootings the attacker tells someone first. Students either do not take the threat seriously or are afraid to tell someone. PAX has created the first and only anonymous hotline for students to report weapon threats- 1-866-SPEAK UP.

National Safe Schools Week is October 21 to October 27, 2007!
National Safe Schools week is just around around the corner! This year, we are asking each of our partners to create a Safe Schools Week Bulletin Board promoting the 1-866-SPEAK-UP hotline at their schools and community centers. We hope that you will take this opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of violence prevention and SPEAK UP.
