  • Sample ASK Day Newsletter Article. Mentioning ASK Day in the newsletter for your school, PTA, community group or religious organization is a great way to spread the word. Inquire about placing an article in advance because many newsletters have early deadlines.
  • Sample ASK Day Letters to the Editor. Use these ideas to write your own and send it your local paper during the week before ASK Day, June 21st.
  • Sample ASK Day Proclamation. Contact your local Mayor or Governor to request that s/he declare June 21, 2009 ASK Day in your area. Use the sample proclamation provided and try to make contact with the official's office at least three weeks before ASK Day.
  • Sample Pulpit Speech. Talk with your religious leader about mentioning ASK Day during a service or including something in printed materials used during services.
  • State-by-State Fact Sheet for local statistics about guns and kids. Adding these facts to your articles and letters can make them more effective.
  • ASK Day Web Banner. Spread the ASK Day message on your website or in your email footers.
